They planted sunflowers in brightly decorated pots as the Sunflower is Ukraine’s national flower. They helped with a poster, made praying hands to remind us of the power of prayer. After a discussion about the situation each girl wrote a prayer asking for God to take care of the people of Ukraine, to help them find shelter, food and friends to help them and they prayed for the fighting to stop.
They raised a fabulous £70 which will be sent to the British Red Cross to support their work during the conflict.
