GB represented at King’s Trooping the Colour parade

news

This time last week (Saturday 15 June), representatives from GB attended the Trooping the Colour parade in London.

30 young people and 8 volunteers made the trip to London for the day, many setting off very early in the morning to be there on time.

Members of 5th Northampton, 1st Oswaldtwistle, 1st Higham Ferrers and 1st Guildford represented GB at the event and had a great time despite the bouts of heavy rain!

A wreath made by leader Karen from 1st Higham Ferrers, which was used for a local display, was taken along to the parade and was spotted by several GB leaders on TV. What great publicity!

Team Leader Jane from 1st Higham Ferrers said, ‘1st Higham Ferrers loved every minute of the day. Thank you for choosing us to represent The Girls’ Brigade. We have such wonderful memories to cherish.’
