Girls’ Brigade members take a wild ride!

news

1st Hinckley and Sutton district members have been busy with trips to theme parks recently.

1st Hinckley enjoyed a day out at Drayton Manor earlier this month. A huge number of girls were able to take part in the trip which celebrated their church attendance.

Team Leader Jackie says, ‘It was a bit of a drizzly start to the day but it soon dried up… until they went on the water rides then they were wet all over again. Lots smiles, lots of fun and lots of tired leaders.’

On Saturday 14th September the sun shone on the Sutton district groups n:counta and n:spire members who met at Chessington World of Adventures courtesy of funds from the Jack Petchey Awards Scheme. The girls had a fantastic day out, some even daring to go on rides more than once! Even the queues didn’t dampen their spirits and instead took the opportunity to chat and get to know others from the district. Leaders who accompanied the group took on a variety of responsibilities from hopping on rides with the girls when needed to the invaluable coat-holders and photo-takers waiting patiently at the bottom of the rides!
