Girls’ Brigade’s fundraising challenge 2024

news

We’re asking all our Girls’ Brigade groups to take part in our fundraising challenge – helping both themselves and Girls’ Brigade England & Wales.

The fundraising events need to take place between 16 September and 13 October. This concentrated approach means we’ll be united as the Girls’ Brigade family across England & Wales in shouting about the incredible impact we have on the lives of our members and volunteers, as well as raising vital funds to ensure our work continues to go from strength to strength. It will help us ensure that we support girls and young women for generations to come.

Many members of the staff team will be taking part, the Board of Trustees and Network Executive are going to do team challenges, and some people are going to do individual challenges too.

The proceeds of the fundraising events that groups organise will be shared 50/50 between their group and the Girls’ Brigade nationally – with the money going to England & Wales helping us further our mission including speeding up the update to our programme materials, benefitting all our members and all our groups.

Please pray for all the groups taking part; for Girls’ Brigade’s finances; and for the continued impact of our work. Every penny donated will help fund our life-transforming work – sharing the difference having a faith makes, teaching life-skills, and building confidence and resilience. National Chaplain Gill Newton has shared a prayer for the event here.
