Join us for our spring conference where we’ll be running various training streams, as well as sharing news from across the GB family.
In the morning we will be holding our Council meeting.
In the afternoon, there will be a choice of training and equipping sessions:
- Life to the Full refresher training. Members of GB’s Network of Trainers will be guiding us through the current Life to the Full policies and safeguarding document (updated 2023). This is compulsory training for GB leaders and needs to be refreshed every five years.
Residential events refresher training. If you want to take your GB group away on a residential in the future, GB policy states that you must complete residential refresher training every five years. Join members of GB’s Network of Trainers as they take you through the residential handbook giving you hints and tips along the way. This training is for leaders who have previously completed their initial residential events training.
Equipped for The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award. Join DofE’s Operations Officer Jez Allsup and GB’s Operations Manager Jess Gill as they share up-to-date guidance on how to run DofE in your GB group and how it fits in with your existing programme. This session is suitable for those new to DofE as well as those currently running DofE.
Being part of a successful GB team. Join Carol and Catherine from the GB staff team as they share how you can build a strong leadership team and plan for the future of your group. This session is suitable for all GB volunteers.
All leaders are welcome to join us to enjoy fellowship, worship, be equipped, and get to hear encouraging news.

- 10.30am-12.30pm – Council meeting (also on Zoom).
- 12.30-1pm – Worship (also on Zoom).
- 1-1.30pm – Lunch.
- 1.30–4pm – Your choice of afternoon session (Only Being part of a successful GB team available via Zoom).

If you are a GB leader or helper who is not a Council representative, please state you are a delegate.
Council Representatives & Travel Pool
Only those who are Council representatives attending in person will join in the Travel Pool and MUST complete the Travel Pool section of the registration when you purchase an in-person ticket. You’ll need your Travel Pool details to hand to complete your booking. These representatives will be sent a call to the meeting directly as usual.
Trustee Board, Network Executive and Office Bearers
If you are a Trustee Board member, Network Executive member or Office Bearer who is not a Council representative, please state you are a DELEGATE and any expense claims will be settled on the day.
