Join us for our spring conference where we’ll be running various training streams, as well as sharing news from across the GB family.

In the morning we will be holding our Council meeting. Our keynote speaker is Emily Brailsford, Director at Mothers’ Union, who’ll talk about their work on domestic abuse (and specifically a Christian response to this issue). We’ll also be talking about the interesting new programme resources for 14-18 year olds which is being piloted at the moment on topics like “safe night out” and “AI, social media and staying safe online”, as well as the launch of our gender guidance and the update to Life to the Full. We’ll also be announcing winners of the Fundraising Challenge competition categories.

In the afternoon, there will be a choice of training and equipping sessions:

  • Residential events training. If you want to take your GB group away on a residential in the future, GB policy states that you must complete residential refresher training every five years. Join members of GB’s Network of Trainers as they take you through the residential handbook giving you hints and tips along the way. This training is for any leader wishing to refresh their qualification or complete their training for the first time. There will be some compulsory pre-learning online modules which will be sent out separately.
  • Skills boost for your n:spire members. This session aims to share more about three of GB’s additional opportunities for n:spire aged members – Queen’s Award, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award and n:fluence 14-18s training. We’ll look at what they are, how they’re structured, the benefits and what your role is in each award scheme.
  • Gender guidance. Join Andy Fitchett, Co-Director of Affirm: Baptists Together for LGBTQ+ Inclusion as he introduces and explores our new gender guidance.

All leaders are welcome to join us to enjoy fellowship, worship led by Cliff College students, be equipped, and get to hear encouraging news.
